FSBP and Medicare
The Foreign Service Benefit Plan (FSBP) offers an Aetna Medicare℠ Plan (PPO) designed exclusively for FSBP retirees.
This plan features enhanced benefits for members who have Medicare Parts A and B as their primary coverage and reside in the 50 United States. FSBP – Aetna Medicare Advantage will give you access to retiree-focused benefits, award-winning customer service, and value-added programs.

As an Aetna Medicare Advantage for FSBP plan member, you have a suite of programs and services available at no extra cost to you.
- $900 ($75 monthly) Medicare Part B premium reduction for eligible members
- $0 deductible and coinsurance for medical care
- Access to doctors nationwide (use any doctor who is eligible to receive Medicare payment and accepts the Aetna plan)
- Prescription coverage as low as $0 from preferred pharmacies and $2 from standard pharmacies
- Added programs like SilverSneakers® and Healthy Home Visits
- Unlimited physical, occupational and speech therapy visits
